I tried to reply to earlier posts on this subject, but couldn't, so I'm posting this as a new question, even though it's a solution. My Laserjet Pro 200 Color suddenly stopped connecting to my wireless network. Nothing had changed on either printer or network.
I tried to connect, and got the "Incorrect WPA password" message, even though the password was correct and worked on every other wireless device connected to the network. What I now believe is that the Transmit chip on the motherboard had gone bad, and the message I got was simply the default when the printer couldn't connect.
So I was left with a dilemma. Either spend $600 bucks on a new printer, see if this one could be repaired (nearest repair location was 35 miles away) or try to figure something else out to make the darned thing work again. I chose the latter.
I turned the printer around, and on the back I noticed it had an Ethernet port. "Hmm," I thought to myself. "I wonder . . . "
So, long story short, I grabbed a good ol' reliable CAT5 cable I had lying around (you build up a lot of them over the years), plugged it into my printer's port, and plugged the other end into an open port on my router. VOILA!
Now be advised that you need to de-install the old (wireless-connected) printer, and then re-install it as a network printer. Once I had re-installed the printer on all my computers, I once again could use the printer.
So if you have the same problem, before throwing out your old printer and buying a new one, try this fix. You're welcome.
