HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e All-in-One Printer
macOS 26.0 Tahoe

I have a Office Jet Pro 9025e and I recently updated my internet service. I need to add new info, but I am not able to. The options I am supposed to select are "grey". Nothing on here is working and I have tried a lot even if it is not my model. I tried some of the default things that I have found and it is not working. I don't know why it is even grey. I never even set it up and I don't know why it is locked. I know I didn't do it.

Hi @minneola1,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your OfficeJet Pro 9025e printer’s network settings are locked and the Wi-Fi setup options are greyed out after changing your internet service. Let’s go through a few steps to get your printer unlocked and reconnected.

Restart the Printer
Turn off the printer, unplug the power cord from the back, wait for 60 seconds, then plug it back in and power it on.
This helps clear any temporary lock or glitch in the network menu.

Check for Admin Lock (HP+ or HP Smart Account)
If your printer is enrolled in HP+ or managed through an HP Smart account, some settings might be restricted.

On the printer’s control panel, go to Setup → Printer Maintenance → Printer Information.

If you see “HP+” or “Managed,” sign in to the same HP Smart account on your phone or computer and check if there’s an admin lock under Advanced Settings.

Access Embedded Web Server (EWS)

Print a Network Configuration Page from the printer’s control panel (Setup → Reports → Network Configuration).

Note the printer’s IP address and type it into your browser’s address bar on a device connected to the same network.

In the EWS page, go to Network → Wi-Fi → Setup. If settings are locked, click Administrator Settings and uncheck “Lock Wireless Settings.”

Restore Network Defaults

On the printer’s display, tap Setup → Network Setup → Restore Network Defaults.

Confirm the reset and wait until the printer restarts.

After restarting, go to Wi-Fi Setup Wizard to connect to your new network.

Reconnect to the New Network
After the reset, select Wi-Fi Setup Wizard → choose your new network → enter your password.
Once connected, print a test page to confirm connectivity.I hope this helps.
