Common problems for Connectivity Issues
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.

I recently changed my wifi and forgot that my HP office jet 8022e was locked. I can access my settings if the printer was online and forgot my password. I was able to get it online by changing my wifi to the one it use to connect and changed it to my new wifi. It says that it saved the new wifi but when I try to connect to it the wifi is locked and no IP assigned, now it's got no wifi saved to it and locked and no way for me to get in to the settings .

Thank you but I already fixed the problem. If you guys are locked out of the settings by admin, I tried using the 8 numbers on the sticker inside the printer.

Hi @Ken_E

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I appreciate you sharing the outcome—it’s great to hear you were able to get past the lockout and reconnect your OfficeJet 8022e. Using the 8‑digit PIN from the sticker inside the printer is a clever way to regain access when the admin password is forgotten, and it’s a practical tip for others who might run into the same situation.

If you need anything else, I'm all ears (or rather, all text). Just let me know!

Stay fantastic, and have an amazing day ahead!
