I have had my printer for several years and all of a sudden it dropped my Wi-Fi connection and I noticed on the control panel that Wi-Fi has been turned off. When I went to check it, it said the settings are locked and I do not remember my username and password to unlock it. How do I get my Wi-Fi Turned back on ?

Hi @Demorrison63 ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To resolve the issue of being locked out of your HP OfficeJet Pro 9018e All-In-One Printer's settings due to forgotten username and password, you can try the following steps:
1. Restore Network Defaults
This will reset the network settings to their factory defaults.
- On the Printer Control Panel:
- Tap the Wi-Fi icon or open the Wireless settings menu.
- Select Restore Network Defaults.
- Confirm the action if prompted.
2. Reset the Printer to Factory Settings
This will reset all settings on the printer, including the network settings and any custom configurations. Note that this action will remove all custom settings and return the printer to its original state.
- On the Printer Control Panel:
- Open the Setup menu (gear icon).
- Navigate to Printer Maintenance.
- Select Restore.
- Choose Restore Factory Defaults or Reset All Settings.
- Confirm the action.
3. Access Embedded Web Server (EWS) Use the HP printer Embedded Web Server (EWS)
If you still have access to the printer’s IP address, you can try to reset the admin password through the Embedded Web Server.
Find the Printer's IP Address:
- Print a network configuration page from the printer to get the IP address.
- You can usually find this option in the Wireless or Network settings menu.
Open a Web Browser:
- Enter the printer’s IP address in the address bar to access the Embedded Web Server (EWS).
Reset Admin Password:
- Navigate to the Security or Settings tab.
- Look for options to reset the admin password.

I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
