M118dw
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi everyone,

M118dw can't find any SSID and it's not able to connect wifi network.

I'm having the exact same issue with the link https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/LaserJet-Printing/Printer-cant-find-wifi-SSID-Laser-Jet-Pro-M118dw/td-...

Thanks in advance.

Hi @grck,

I'd like to help!

To assist better -

  1. What is the status of the wireless light on the printer, steady or blinking?
  2. Is your printer connected to a home network or public network?
  3.  Is your router dual-band enabled i.e., both 2.4GHz and 5GHz? If yes, make sure the dual-band has different SSIDs for 2.4G and 5G networks.
  4. Is there an antivirus software installed on your computer?
  5.  Are the printer and computer connected to the same network?

Let me know!

Hi Jay,

Thank you for your reply.

I was able to fix the issue at the weekend. The wireless was turned-off somehow. I connected to the printer via network cable then turned-on the Wifi and it was fixed.

Best regards
