I recently updated Xfinity WiFi Router. Contrary to expectations set by Xfinity, it was necessary to change both WiFi name and password; simply put we had been using a character in the password that is no longer allowed.
I'm trying to reset up my printer and running into issues where it is:
1. Not being found by the HP Direct App
2. What is found by network is not a HP-Setup network WiFi connection being looked for by HP app but a post Setup network. I can connect to the old HP Wifi with old password but it will still not connect to the printer.
3. I tried doing a factory reset to start afresh (assuming that it would be possible to get to the HP-Setup network HP app is looking ... not entirely sure that it worked as the config pages continue to show outdated password and WiFi information.
4. Using the HP app I have put in the IP address from the config pages and it is still not detected.
5. I do have a Mac configured to the new WiFi reality but no way to physically connect the two devices
I have searched, Googled, tried, beat my head. If someone has suggestions ... I'm all ears.
Thanks!
