Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

After having my printer for a couple years and having NO problems, direct printing from my mobile phone stopped working. This was several weeks ago. The printer had no wifi lights, nothing. Troubleshooting showed the wireless apparently was not coming on. I could still print via USB from my Windows 10 machine. At that time there were no new drivers posted for the printer.

Yesterday I discovered the new  driver- critical update and installed it. The printer's Wifi lights suddenly came on and I was able to pair with our router. Also, I suddenly began to be able to print directly from my phone. 🙂

Now I cannot print duplex from my Windows system (Word 2013 document), BUT I can print duplex from my iPhone. The only option it allows in manual 2 sided printing.  I've been in the Samsung Easy Printer Manager App and the Windows control panel and not been able to fix this. Windows continues to tell me the Duplex Unit is not installed. Obviously it is.

This appears to be a problem between Samsung/HP and Microsoft. Have others had similar problems since the May 5, 2021 driver release? and will there be another driver released?

DsDsNro,

I've had same problem but with  Officejet Pro 6978. (different from my user name)  I have a post about it yesterday.  Waiting reply.

I too have Win. 10 and removed the original software and device.  I then downloaded "EasyStart" software (your May 2021) if that's the same as yours.   (I just want basic drivers. No extras.)

I don't know if you downloaded the software without removing your original software/drivers/printer. ?

Or did you simply download like an update. ?

But I also recall that Windows 10 had a recent update and wonder if that caused this.

Did you notice the problem after a Windows update?

(I recently upgraded to Win10 because my tax software required 10.  Really dislike 10.  And it seems to install Win Updates automatically which is awful. So maybe something installed and now interferes.)

Any thoughts on this?   (I need the fix.  Otherwise, it's System Restore.  But that's not a permanent solution.)

Thanks.
