Is this intentional or can it be fixed?  Other devices work with the printer, but not the Mac. It's on the same network, allows the printer to be chosen, and to click print, but the printer doesn't print. I've tried updating firmware (nothing available), turning off and on, disconnecting printer and computer from the network and reconnecting again, redoing printer setup, etc.

I want to print an accurate sized image from photoshop and can't seem to use my phone to do that - the printer/phone resizes it-was hoping to print from my Mac.

Hi @246abc ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you're experiencing a frustrating issue with your HP DeskJet 2755e printer on your new macOS setup. The fact that the printer is working with other devices but not the Mac suggests the problem might be specific to the printer's connection with macOS. Here are a few steps you can try to resolve this issue:

Reinstall the Printer Driver:

  • Even though macOS usually handles drivers automatically, it's still worth reinstalling the printer driver. You can download the latest driver from the HP support website.
  • Once downloaded, install the driver and restart your Mac to see if this resolves the issue.

Remove and Re-add Printer in System Preferences:

  • Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
  • Select the HP DeskJet 2755e and click the minus (-) button to remove it.
  • Then, click the plus (+) button to add the printer back.
  • Check if the printer works after being re-added.

Check the Printer Queue:

  • Sometimes, print jobs get stuck in the queue. Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners, select the printer, and click Open Print Queue. If there are any pending jobs, cancel them and try printing again.

Reset the Printing System:

  • If the issue persists, you can reset the printer system in macOS. Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners, right-click (or control-click) on the list of printers, and select Reset printing system.
  • After resetting, you'll need to add the printer again, but this can sometimes fix issues with printing.

Check for macOS Updates: HP DeskJet 2755e All-in-One Printer Software and Driver ...

  • Ensure that your macOS is up to date, as newer updates may include bug fixes for printing issues with certain printers. Go to System Preferences > Software Update to check for any available updates

Test from Another App:

  • Test printing from other apps (like TextEdit or Safari) to see if the issue is specific to Photoshop. If other apps print without issue, it might be a setting within Photoshop that is causing the problem.

Ensure Correct Page Size in Photoshop:

  • Since you're trying to print an accurately sized image from Photoshop, make sure that the Page Setup and Print Settings in Photoshop are configured correctly. Ensure the paper size and print dimensions match your printer’s capabilities.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
