Product: HP OfficeJet Pro 8028e All-in-One Printer
Operating System: macOS 12.0 Monterey
My 8020e Pro printer has worked great. All of a sudden, though, when I try to print to it from my macbook, the printer does not respond. I've verified that both macbook and printer are on the same wifi and that the wifi is functioning.
- I tried turning the printer on and off, unplugging it and re-plugging it. No luck.
- I tried deleting and re-adding the printer through the System Preferences on my Macbook, but, though my computer could see that the printer was there, it could not add it.
- I tried restoring the printer to factory settings and reconnecting to wifi. Though wifi connection was successful, it didn't change the lack of connection to my macbook.
- I tried re-adding the printer through HP Smart, but even though the printer is hooked up to the wifi, the HP Smart setup continues to fail on the final step.
