Mac desktop can not find wireless HP Envy 5540 when first turned on

Why is my Mac desktop OS 11.6 unable to find the wireless HP Envy 5540 after the Mac goes to sleep.  When I turn off the power to the computer, printer, internet router and wireless device and then turn it all back on the desktop now finds the wireless printer.  Any thoughts on that problem?

I understand you are facing a printer offline.

Rebooting your router cleans out the device's short-term memory (also called “cache”) to keep it running more smoothly. It also allows the router to re-select the least crowded channel for each frequency, which means a stronger connection to your devices, the devices are restarted to refresh the connection and to connect to the router's current channel.
