Hi @Salie18,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I understand that the printer is showing an E4 error, along with the red X/attention light, and you are also unable to find the printer's Wi-Fi network.

For the E4 error, please try the following:

Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cable.

Remove any paper from the input and output trays.

Carefully check the paper path for any jammed or torn pieces of paper.

Open the cartridge access area and check for any obstruction preventing the carriage from moving freely.

Once everything is clear, reconnect the power cable and turn the printer back on.

Check whether the E4 error and red X have cleared.

If the E4 error remains after checking for a paper jam, please provide the exact printer model number. We can then provide the appropriate steps for your specific printer.

Take care and have an amazing day!

Best regards,
Kuroi_Kenshi
