Mobile hotspot to work printer

The other night I connected my printer to my hotspot on my phone.   I have a Motorola edge phone.. I got it connected and print it off about six or seven patterns for my crocheting.... Then all of a sudden it quit now when I try to connect it again the Wi-Fi is connected but it keeps saying that the printer is not available at this time I don't know how to fix it I don't know what this means

I understand you are trying to connect the printer to your phone via hotspot. HP printers may or may not work on a hotspot connection.

HP recommends the use of a personal wireless router. 

If you do not have access to a personal router, use Wifi-Direct to print.

Note: There will be no internet access on the phone while using this method.
