Common problems for Connectivity Issues
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.

Hello, Everything seems to be working fine on the printer.  No lights blinking, connected to the wifi, etc.  It will print out the alignment page but will not print out a saved document.  It acts like it is printing, but the page goes through the printer and comes out blank.

I understand the situation clearly: the printer is connected, prints the alignment page, but saved documents come out blank. Let’s go through steps to resolve this.

 

Check Ink Levels in HP App

  • Open the HP App on your computer.
  • Select your printer and check estimated ink levels.
  • If cartridges are low or empty, replace them.

 

Run Diagnose & Fix in HP App

  • In the HP App, select your printer.
  • Click on Printer Settings > Advanced Settings.
  • Choose Diagnose & Fix.
  • Follow the on‑screen instructions to automatically detect and correct issues.

 

Clean Printheads

  • On the printer control panel, press and hold the Information button until all buttons light up.
  • Press the Copy Color button to print a diagnostic page.
  • If streaks or missing colors appear, use the HP App:
    • Go to Printer Settings > Maintenance > Clean Printheads.
    • Run the cleaning cycle and test again.

 

Reinstall Printer Driver

  • On Windows:
    • Open Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
    • Remove the printer, then reinstall using the HP App.
  • On macOS:
    • Open System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
    • Remove the printer, then add it again using the HP App.

 

Print a Test Document

  • After completing the above steps, open a saved document and print again.
  • Confirm whether the page prints correctly.

 

Summary:
The printer hardware is fine since it prints alignment pages. The blank output from saved documents points to ink delivery or software setup. Checking ink, running Diagnose & Fix, cleaning printheads, and reinstalling drivers should restore normal printing.
