My HP 6830 isn't connecting through WiFi with my MacBook Pro Laptop. The message says "searching for printer." But it never connects. It does connect with my wife's desktop Mac, although she usually has to turn the printer off and on again before the printer is found and the printing begins. I have tried turning on and off, as well as unplugging printer. I have tried to reconnect using the Wireless set up Wizard. Also tried to load updated printer drivers, but can't seem to get that installed.

On your Computer, please try these steps:
Remove and add the printer
Click the Apple menu, and then select System Preferences.
Depending on your operating system version, click Print & Fax, Print & Scan, or Printers & Scanners.
Click the name of your printer, click the Minus sign and then delete the printer.
Click the Plus sign and then click Add Printer or Scanner.
Click the Use or Print Using box, and then select AirPrint
Click Add to add the printer to the list.
Try to print.

Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Let's restore the network setting son the Printer:
To restore the printer to the original network settings 1. From the printer control panel, touch Setup . 2. Touch Network Setup. 3. Touch Restore Network Settings. 4. A message appears stating that the network defaults will be restored. Touch Yes.
Once done, connect the Printer back to the Wi-Fi using the Wireless Setup Wizard: 1. From the printer control panel, touch Setup . 2. Touch Network Setup. 3. Touch Wireless Settings. 4. Touch Wireless Setup Wizard . 5. Follow the display instructions to complete the setup.
Let me know if this helps.

Betty 0610, Thank you for your instructions. I did what you said and restored the network settings. I used the wireless set up wizard to select the network name. I entered the password as requested and touched "okay." A screen came up that said "connection successful." I touched "okay" to confirm. When I tried to print a document, the HP printer screen says "the printer is not connected." Under the document icon is another message that says "Printing - looking for printer." If I click on the printer settings, it lists driver version as 2.0. I don't know if this helps, but my wife has a Mac desktop that also uses the printer wirelessly. It does connect with the printer and prints. However, often it won't connect (if it's been a while since printing) or print unless the printer is turned off and on again. This seems to reset the connection. For a while that was also true using my laptop. But now that doesn't work to get a connection. I would appreciate any other ideas or instructions.
