Help! I have been loving my printer/scanner and now suddenly it seems to have lost its WiFi connection. The exclamation point won't go away.
Are there instructions for how to remind my printer/scanner of my WiFi network name and password?

Hi @rolandoteco,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand your HP LaserJet MFP M140w printer loses its WiFi connection, you can follow these steps to reconnect it to your WiFi network:
- Restart Your Printer: Sometimes, simply restarting your printer can resolve connectivity issues. Turn off your printer, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on.
- Check WiFi Signal: Ensure that your printer is within the range of your WiFi network and that the WiFi signal is strong enough for the printer to connect.
- Reconnect to WiFi Network: Here's how you can reconnect your HP LaserJet MFP M140w printer to your WiFi network:
a. On the printer's control panel, press the Wireless button or open the Wireless menu.
b. Select "Settings" or "Wireless Settings."
c. Choose the "Wireless Setup Wizard" option.
d. The printer will search for available WiFi networks. Select your WiFi network from the list.
e. Enter your WiFi network password when prompted. Use the printer's control panel to input the password.
f. Once the printer is connected to the WiFi network, the exclamation point should disappear.
- Verify WiFi Settings on Mac: Ensure that your Mac is connected to the same WiFi network that you want to connect your printer to. Check your Mac's WiFi settings to verify the network name and password.
- Update Printer Firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your HP LaserJet MFP M140w printer. The updated firmware can often resolve connectivity issues and improve performance. Software and Drivers for HP LaserJet MFP M140w Printer
- Reset Printer Network Settings: As a last resort, you can reset the network settings on your printer. This will clear all existing network configurations, and you'll need to set up the WiFi connection again from scratch.

Hi. I'm sorry. I can't see how to open any wireless menu on the printer itself. When I hit the wireless icon, the numbers 01 appear on that tiny little screen and that's it. It's not clear to me how any menus can be accessed. That screen is the size of a postage stamp.
I must be overlooking something obvious. I'm sorry.
Not sure if I mentioned that the printer had been working for a couple weeks and then just lost the connection. I didn't change anything. Not that I know of.
I downloaded the Smart HP app onto my Mac but I'm not sure if that will offer me the solution I need.
