Common problems for Connectivity Issues
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.

My printer is unable to print most of the time and keeps showing as offline. What can I do to resolve this? It shows that it is connected to the Wifi but can't print. I continue to troubleshoot by turning it off and on, but it has not been resolved.

Hi @Ajuzie,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

I understand how  it can be when your printer keeps showing as offline even though it’s connected to Wi-Fi. Let’s work together to get this resolved so you can get back to printing smoothly.

Could you please share the printer model number with me? Also, let me know if the issue happens with all devices or just one (like your laptop or phone).

Here are a few steps you can try :

Restart Print Spooler: On your computer, open Services, find “Print Spooler,” and restart it. This often clears stuck jobs.

Set Printer Online: In Control Panel → Devices and Printers, right-click your printer and ensure “Use Printer Offline” is unchecked.

Assign Static IP: Sometimes printers drop off the network if their IP changes. Setting a static IP can stabilize the connection.

Update Drivers: Outdated drivers can cause connectivity issues. Download the latest drivers from HP’s support website https://support.hp.com/ .

Check Firewall Settings: Occasionally, security software blocks communication between your computer and printer.

I hope this helps.

I'm an HP Employee.
