Hi @Wiltrin,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
If HP Smart isn’t recognizing your location even though your location settings are turned on, here are a few things you can try to resolve the issue:
1. Check Windows Location Settings
Make sure HP Smart has permission to access your location:
- Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Location.
- Ensure Location Services is turned on.
- Scroll down to "Let apps access your location" and make sure HP Smart is enabled.
2. Enable Location in HP Smart App
Sometimes the app itself needs permission:
- Open HP Smart.
- Go to Settings (gear icon).
- Look for Location Access or Permissions and ensure it’s enabled.
3. Reset HP Smart App Permissions
If it’s still not working:
- Go to Settings > Apps > Installed Apps.
- Find HP Smart and click on it.
- Select Advanced Options.
- Click Reset (this won’t delete your printer, but will reset app settings).
- Reopen the app and allow location access when prompted.
4. Use a VPN or Network Issue?
If you're using a VPN or your network is blocking location services, HP Smart might not detect your region correctly. Try:
- Disabling VPN temporarily
- Switching to a different Wi-Fi network
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
