Hi @Wiltrin,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

If HP Smart isn’t recognizing your location even though your location settings are turned on, here are a few things you can try to resolve the issue:

1. Check Windows Location Settings

Make sure HP Smart has permission to access your location:

  1. Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Location.
  2. Ensure Location Services is turned on.
  3. Scroll down to "Let apps access your location" and make sure HP Smart is enabled.

2. Enable Location in HP Smart App

Sometimes the app itself needs permission:

  • Open HP Smart.
  • Go to Settings (gear icon).
  • Look for Location Access or Permissions and ensure it’s enabled.

3. Reset HP Smart App Permissions

If it’s still not working:

  1. Go to Settings > Apps > Installed Apps.
  2. Find HP Smart and click on it.
  3. Select Advanced Options.
  4. Click Reset (this won’t delete your printer, but will reset app settings).
  5. Reopen the app and allow location access when prompted.

4. Use a VPN or Network Issue?

If you're using a VPN or your network is blocking location services, HP Smart might not detect your region correctly. Try:

  • Disabling VPN temporarily
  • Switching to a different Wi-Fi network

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
