I have followed all the instructions on the how-to videos on HP and nothing I do connects my printer to any of my devices to print. I keep getting a "printer is not responding" message and I don't know what else to do.

Hi @ASCKIOS,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble connecting your HP OfficeJet 5258 printer to your devices. There could be several reasons for this issue. Let's troubleshoot step by step.
Check Connections:
- Make sure your printer is powered on and properly connected to a power source.
- Verify that the printer is connected to your Wi-Fi network (if it's a wireless printer).
Wi-Fi Connection:
- If your printer is wireless, check if it's connected to the correct Wi-Fi network. Navigate through the printer's settings to verify this.
Network Connection:
- Check if your computer or other devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the printer.
Printer Software:
- Ensure that you have the correct printer driver software installed on your devices. You can download the latest drivers from the official HP website.
Restart Devices:
- Sometimes a simple restart can help resolve connection issues. Try restarting your printer, computer, and router.
Printer Queue:
- If your devices are sending print jobs to the printer but they're not printing, there might be a print queue issue. Check the print queue on your computer to see if there are any pending print jobs.
Firewall/Antivirus Settings:
- Sometimes, firewall or antivirus settings can block the connection between your devices and the printer. Temporarily disable them and see if the printer connects.
Printer Reset:
- If none of the above steps work, you might consider resetting the printer to its default settings. However, be aware that this might erase any custom settings you've configured.
Network Reset:
- If your printer is wireless, you might also consider performing a network reset on the printer to clear any network-related issues.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
