Hi @YoJoLo,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand your HP OfficeJet Pro 6968 appears online on your Mac but shows as offline in HP Instant Ink, it’s likely due to a communication issue between the printer and HP's cloud services. This can happen even if the printer works fine for local printing.

Here’s how to fix it:

1. Check Printer’s Internet Connection

  • Print a Network Configuration Page:
    • On the printer, go to Settings > Network Setup > Print Network Configuration Page.
  • Look for:
    • Status: Connected
    • IP Address: (should be valid, e.g., 192.168.x.x)
    • Connected to Web Services: (should say "Connected")

2. Make Sure Web Services Are Enabled

  • On the printer:
    • Tap the ePrint or HP+ icon (or go to Settings > Web Services).
    • If it says Web Services not enabled, turn them ON.
    • If already enabled, try turning Web Services OFF, wait 30 seconds, then turn it ON again.

This will force the printer to reconnect to HP's cloud services.

3. Reboot Everything

  • Turn off the printer, router, and Mac.
  • Wait 1 minute, then turn on the router, wait for it to stabilise.
  • Then turn on the printer, and then the Mac.
  • Open the HP Smart app or log in to your Instant Ink dashboard and check if the printer now shows online.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
