My product is an HP Deskjet 3772. Is it suddenly offline and will not print. I unplugged both the printer and computer and plugged back in and the printer is still not printing. I have a Lenovo laptop with a windows 11. Can you give me step by step instructions on where to go to get the printer communicating with my wifi again. Thank you so much.

Hi @JG70-____
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
If your HP Deskjet 3772 printer is offline and not printing, follow these step-by-step instructions to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.
Wireless Network Troubleshooting
Ensure Wireless is On:
- Make sure the wireless light on your printer is turned on. If the wireless light is off, press the Wireless button on your printer to turn it on.
Disconnect Ethernet Cable:
- Ensure that an Ethernet cable is not connected to the printer. Connecting an Ethernet cable disables the printer's wireless function.
Restart Network Devices:
- Turn off the router and the printer.
- Turn them back on in this order: router first, then the printer.
- If the printer still doesn't connect, turn off the router, the printer, and your computer. Wait for a few minutes and then turn them all back on.
Run Wireless Network Test:
- On your printer, press the Wireless button.
- Use the Menu options to print a Wireless Network Test page. Follow any recommendations provided on the test report to solve the network issue.
Advanced Wireless Network Troubleshooting
If basic troubleshooting didn't resolve the issue, follow these advanced steps:
Check Computer's Wireless Networking:
- Ensure that your Lenovo laptop's Wi-Fi is turned on. You can usually check this via the Wi-Fi icon on the taskbar.
- Confirm that your laptop is connected to your network's SSID and not a neighboring network’s SSID.
Verify Network Connection:
- Windows:
- Click on the Start button, then go to Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center.
- Ensure your laptop is connected to your network. If it isn’t, reconnect to your Wi-Fi network.
- Mac OS X:
- Click the Wi-Fi icon in the menu bar to ensure it is turned on and connected to your network.
- For detailed information, open System Preferences > Network, and check the connection status.
Check Printer's Network Status:
- Print the printer’s Wireless Configuration page:
- On the printer’s settings, print the Network Configuration Page to check the Network Status and URL.
- Ensure the Network Status is 'Ready'. If it shows 'Offline', run the Wireless Network Test.
Check Connectivity:
- Ensure the printer and laptop are on the same network. Try accessing the printer’s Embedded Web Server (EWS) using the URL shown on the Network Configuration Page.
- Temporarily disable any firewall security software to check if it is blocking the communication between the printer and computer.
Printer Status:
- Check if the printer is paused or offline on your computer:
- Windows:
- Click Start > Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners.
- Right-click on your printer, and if it is offline, click ‘Use Printer Online’. If it is paused, click 'Resume Printing'.
- Mac OS X:
- Open System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
- Select your printer, and click 'Print Queue'. If the status shows ‘Jobs Stopped’, click 'Start Jobs'.
- Windows:
Verify Printer Software:
- Ensure that the HP software is correctly installed. If you have difficulties printing or connecting, reinstall the HP software.
Restart Network Device Support Service (Windows only):
- Clear any current print jobs in the print queue.
- Right-click 'My Computer' or 'Computer' on the desktop, then click 'Manage'.
- Double-click 'Services and Applications', then click 'Services'.
- Find 'HP Network Devices Support', right-click and select 'Restart'.
- After restarting the service, try using the printer over the network again.
