Hi @Msoto97

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Thanks for explaining the issue—I'm really sorry your HP printer keeps showing as offline. This usually happens when the printer loses communication with your device, even though it’s powered on and connected.

Let’s walk through a few steps to bring it back online quickly.

Step-by-Step Fix: HP Printer Showing Offline

1. Restart Everything

  • Turn off your printer.
  • Restart your computer or mobile device.
  • Power off your router for 30 seconds, then turn it back on.
  • Turn the printer back on last.

This refreshes all connections and clears any temporary network conflicts.

2. Set Printer to Online Manually (Windows)

  • Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  • Right-click your HP printer > See what’s printing.
  • In the new window, click Printer from the top menu.
  • Uncheck Use Printer Offline if it’s selected.

3. Run HP Diagnose & Fix Tool

This tool automatically detects and resolves offline issues.

4. Reinstall the Printer

  • Go to Settings > Bluetooth & Devices > Printers & Scanners.
  • Remove your HP printer.
  • Click Add device and let Windows detect and reinstall it.

5. Check Network Connection

If you're using Wi-Fi:

  • Make sure the printer is connected to the same network as your computer.
  • Print a Network Configuration Page from the printer’s control panel to confirm IP address.
  • If needed, reconnect the printer using the HP Smart app.

If the issue persists, let me know your printer model and whether you're using Wi-Fi, USB, or Ethernet—I’ll guide you further.

You're doing everything right by catching this early and seeking a proper fix.
