@JDonnelly70, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Printer Queue Errors!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
When experiencing printer queue errors that prevent your printer from printing from your computer, here are some steps you can take to resolve the issue:
Check Printer Connection: Ensure that your printer is properly connected to your computer via USB or network connection (Wi-Fi/Ethernet). Check that all cables are securely attached.
Restart Printer and Computer: Turn off your printer and computer, wait for a few minutes, and then turn them back on. This can sometimes clear temporary glitches.
Clear Print Queue:
- Open the print queue by going to "Devices and Printers" in the Control Panel.
- Click on your printer to open the queue of pending jobs.
- Cancel or delete all pending print jobs to clear the queue.
Reinstall Printer Drivers:
- Visit the HP Support website to download and install the latest drivers for your specific printer model.
Set Printer as Default:
- Go to "Devices and Printers" and ensure your printer is set as the default printer.
Check for Errors in Printer Status:
- Investigate if there are any specific error messages or lights blinking on the printer indicating an issue.
Update OS: Ensure your operating system is up-to-date, as outdated systems can sometimes cause compatibility issues.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
