Hi @AP1975

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I understand how frustrating it feels when your printer refuses to connect to Wi‑Fi, especially when you’ve already tried to get it online. Let’s go through the steps that usually bring the connection back smoothly.

Steps to connect your printer to Wi‑Fi

1. Restart printer and router

  • Turn off the printer and unplug the power cord.
  • Restart your Wi‑Fi router.
  • Wait until the router lights stabilize, then power the printer back on.

2. Restore wireless settings on the printer

  • On the printer’s control panel, press and hold the Wireless button until the light blinks.
  • This resets the wireless settings and prepares the printer for a fresh connection.

3. Use the HP App to reconnect

  • Install or open the HP App on your Windows computer.
  • Select your printer, then choose Printer Settings > Wi‑Fi Setup.
  • Follow the guided steps to connect the printer to your Wi‑Fi network.
  • Enter your Wi‑Fi password when prompted.

4. Verify network compatibility

  • Ensure the printer and computer are connected to the same 2.4 GHz Wi‑Fi network.
  • Some printers do not support 5 GHz networks.

5. Print a Network Configuration Page

  • On the printer’s control panel, press the Information button (or navigate to Reports).
  • Print the Network Configuration Page to confirm the printer has an IP address and is connected.

The most effective immediate actions are to restart your router and printer, reset wireless settings, and reconnect using the HP App. Printing a Network Configuration Page will confirm whether the connection is successful.
