I have a HP Pavillion laptop. It connects wirelessly to my home router and no other devices have any wireless problems except printing wirelessly. I've contacted brother and they have ran multiple tests and we can get it working for an hour or a day but then they only way I can print is with my usb cord. They feel my pavillion firewall might be preventing a connection because the printer network page says it is connected to my wireless . I don't know what to do

@Sassy1_, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your HP Pavilion Firewall Blocking Wireless Printing!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Here are a few things you can try:
Check Your Firewall Settings
Sometimes, security settings can interfere with network printing. Let’s check:
Open Windows Security (search for it in the Start menu).
Go to Firewall & network protection → Click Allow an app through firewall.
Look for your printer-related software (Brother Printer, Print Spooler, or any Brother-related applications) and make sure they are allowed through both Private and Public networks.
Restart Print Spooler Service
This service manages print jobs and can sometimes stop responding:
Press Win + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
Scroll down and find Print Spooler.
Right-click it and choose Restart.
Check Power Management for Wi-Fi Adapter
Your laptop might be putting the Wi-Fi adapter to sleep, affecting connectivity:
Press Win + X, select Device Manager.
Expand Network Adapters, right-click your Wi-Fi adapter, and choose Properties.
Go to the Power Management tab and uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power."
Assign a Static IP to Your Printer
If your router frequently changes the printer’s IP, your laptop may lose track of it. Setting a static IP in your router settings can help (check your router manual for instructions).
I hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
