Hi @Ynett727,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand you need the IP address for your HP Photosmart 7520 and guidance on how to install it and connect it to your HP laptop. Let’s go through a few steps.

1. Find the Printer IP Address

On the printer’s control panel, go to:
Setup (gear icon) → Network Setup → View Wireless Details / Wireless Settings → IP Address.

The IP address will usually look like 192.168.x.x.

Alternatively, print a Network Configuration Page from the printer menu to get the IP.

2. Connect the Printer to Your Network

Ensure the printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your laptop.

On the printer: Wireless Setup Wizard → select your network → enter Wi-Fi password.

3. Install Printer Software on Your Laptop

Go to HP Support → Software & Drivers: HP Photosmart 7520 Drivers

Select Windows version and download the full feature driver & software.

Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions.

4. Add the Printer to Your Laptop

After installation, go to Settings → Bluetooth & Devices → Printers & Scanners → Add Printer.

Select your HP Photosmart 7520 from the list.

If it doesn’t appear, choose Add by IP address and enter the IP you found earlier.

5. Test the Connection

Print a test page to ensure it’s working properly.

Open a document and try a regular print job to verify.

6. Troubleshoot (if needed)

Make sure the firewall isn’t blocking the printer.

Ensure both laptop and printer are on the same Wi-Fi network.

Restart both devices if the printer isn’t detected immediately.

I hope this helps.
