When I try to use the AI to help me, I keep getting the following message,

"The exact procedure is not described in the supplied content. In this case, you should contact HP directly for secure guidance:

  • Go to HP Customer Support for help with password reset and advanced printer configuration.

However, you can't get into the advanced printer configuration settings without the EWS user name and password.  Since resetting this type of password should be considered private information, for hacking purposes, I am aware that you can't find any information on the steps on a public boards, I looked.  I  also realized the warranty on my printer has expired, but I would really appreciate any guidance you can provide on how to go about access the embedded web server on your printer if you have forgotten the username and password required to reset it.  Thank you for any assistance you can provide.  🙂

Did AI asked you for a printer model ?

Most printers restoring the factory settings, or cold reset will reset the password too, and steps can be found in the printers user manual or on the internet depending on the printer model you are referring?
