I have an HP OfficeJet 6954 that is about five years old. I just took it out of the box this afternoon and started setting it up. I’m trying to print for my laptop right now and it’s telling me that I need a pin. It says it is on the printer or in my paperwork which I’ve looked through my paperwork and cannot find the pen nor can I find a pin on the printer.

If you open the front cover of the printer - as if to remove the print cartridges - you will find the default EWS password (it's actually a PIN number) printed on the right, along with your printer's serial number. Or you can be guided by the following video. Let me know if this helps.
