HP DeskJet 2755 All-in-One Printer

I cannot get this printer to print work documents when connected to the internet due to my company's firewall.  I have a cord so I can connect it directly to the laptop.  I have it plugged in, I have black ink and all I want to do is print a few pages.   This was working in the past.

Today I have already wasted an hour of my life on this and am so frustrated - I cannot get the printer to actually print anything because it keeps insisting I have to be enrolled in the automatic ink subscription program, and I have to have WIFI printing on.

What can I do?  I feel like throwing it away even though it is mechanically sound.

@sjj4125, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

I understand you are not able to print. First, let us check if you are using Instant Ink cartridges in the printer to print.

Also, is this printer enrolled in Instant Ink?

If yes, then the printer has to be conneted to the internet to resume printing.

If you cannot connect the printer to the internet, you will have to use regular HP ink cartridges to resume printing.

Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes.

I need to be able to print and scan documents without connecting to the internet.  I have a Neverstop Laser Printer so I don't use cartridges.

@SmartisStupid

To assist you better, what is the exact model of the printer you are using?

Refer to this document to know how to find the Product Name or Product Number.

Keep me posted.

Some people require to use print/scan function when working remotely in Australia without phone or wifi service availability.

HP Smart software used to scan or print will not allow this by cord connection without wifi/internet access.

example my DeskJet 2332 - brand new right out of the box - I only need the scanner function

Hi @IceFyre,

Welcome to the HP Support Community

I understand you have a scan-related question on your DeskJet 2332. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

To assist better:

  • I would like to know what device are you trying to connect your printer to?
  • What operating system runs on your device and it's current OS version?

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
