HP Smart Tank 750 All-in-One
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am unable to connect my HP Smart Tank 750 to my wireless network. My printer was previously connected to the wireless network, however, after experiencing issues with my FTTH network, the printer seemed to have disconnected from the said network. I've tried the relevant troubleshooting steps provided via HP Support but nothing seems to be working. I have also reached out to my ISP who has advised that my network settings are already optimised on their end. I have attempted to reset the wireless setup to it's default state numerous times but it does not connect to the Wi-Fi. I have also attempted to connect via WPS without any success. Please advise how this can be resolved. I am currently connecting via USB but this is a counter-productive solution and defeats the purpose of having bought a printer with wireless connectivity.

Hi @TayStads,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding reconnecting your HP Smart Tank 750 to a wireless network!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Power Cycle the Printer and Router:

  • Turn off your printer and unplug your router.
  • Wait for about 30 seconds, then plug the router back in and turn on the printer.

Restore Network Default Settings:

  • On the printer control panel, go to the network settings menu.
  • Find an option to restore network defaults. This will clear any incorrect settings that might be causing issues.
  • After restoring defaults, attempt to reconnect the printer to your network again.

Reconnect the Printer to the Network:

  • Use the printer control panel to navigate to the wireless setup wizard.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to select your network from the list and enter the Wi-Fi password correctly.
  • Ensure your router is nearby and that there are no major obstructions between the printer and the router.

Check Printer Connectivity:

  • Once connected, print a network configuration report from your printer to verify the IP address and connection status.
  • Ensure that the IP address is within your network's range and matches your network's current settings.

Avoid Network Interference:

  • Make sure other devices are not interfering with the printer's connection.
  • If your router has both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, try connecting the printer to the 2.4 GHz band, which has better range and penetration.

Update Firmware:

Kindly refer to this link to update your printer firmware.

Factory Reset (Optional):

Refer to the steps on this link to restore factory defaults.

I hope this helps.
