Hello :

Tapping on the wireless icon reads: Built-in network capabilities have been disabled.  Contact network administrator ....

The message first showed up when I selected restore factory defaults in the setup menu.  The printer no longer was communicating with my router, because I replaced the router and there were new IP addresses for everything.  First attempt at reconnecting got a could not connect failure message after typing in the wireless password.  Eventually tried to restore the default printer settings; that's when the lengthy error message above showed up.  I have deleted the printer from WIN 10 and attempted reinstallation using the most recent download from HP.  I have shut the printer off, including pulling the plug.  Latest attempt at reinstallation was successful by typing in the new IP address for the printer.  Tapping the network tab or wireless icon still gives the same message.  Last words from the installation says I'm connected, but not in the normal way.  Something in the router firewall may be amiss.  I suspect that is not relevant to this error message, however.

@Casey_H, Welcome to HP Support Community!

The only option left is to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.

I've sent you a private message with reset instructions, follow the reset instruction to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.

In order to access your private messages, click the private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Community profile, next to your profile Name or simply click on this link.

Hope this helps!
