I finally got my scan to network folder set up! But the thing that is bugging me is that I need to sign into the scan to network folder function every time I want to scan to any network folder.  I assume that is a down side of using windows 11. Does anyone know of any work around this issue?

Welcome to the HP Community --

 

Depending on the printer model --

and

Depending on the type / location / method used to Scan to Network Folder --

One or more of the following might be relevant:

 

  • The printer security requires the printer PIN to use most parts of the secured sections of the printer.  This access requirement includes creating and using EWS and  SMTP  for Scan to Network folder with a Quick Set.

PLUS

  • The access is in addition to the need for the destination to be Shared and accessible to the printer and the app / user generating the request.

 

Said another way --

Regardless of the Scan to Network Folder destination and the method used to Scan to that destination, the receiving folder must be Shared and open for Read / Write by the application / software / device used to scan the content.
