My printer is blinking the info icon and when I open my HP app it’s saying it’s not connected to the internet. When I press the info button, the information page that prints is saying “this printer is connected to *said network*, signal strength is excellent, and this printer is connected to the internet”. Im at a loss.

@Laura891, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

It seems like you are facing a connectivity issue where the printer's information page indicates it’s connected to the internet and network, but the HP app reports it as not connected. Here are a few steps to help troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Restart Devices: Start by turning off your printer, your computer or mobile device, and your router. Wait for about a minute, then turn them back on. This can sometimes clear temporary connectivity issues.

Check Network Settings: Double-check the network settings on the printer and ensure that it is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network. Sometimes connecting to a network with a similar name can cause confusion.

Verify HP App Connection:

  • Make sure your computer or mobile device is connected to the same network as the printer.
  • Update the HP Smart app to the latest version through your device’s app store.
  • Remove the printer from the HP Smart app and then add it back to see if it resolves the connectivity issue.

Printer Control Panel: Use the printer control panel to run the Wireless Setup Wizard (if available) to ensure that the printer is correctly set up on the network.

Check Firewall Settings: If the printer is connected via a Windows PC, check if firewall settings are blocking the printer from connecting. You might have to disable the firewall temporarily to see if this resolves the issue.

Range and Interference: Make sure the printer is within range of the wireless router and there are no physical obstructions or other electronic devices causing interference.

I hope this helps.
