Hi Experts,

I am facing Network error when I try to scan documents to external drive connected via USB

to Router Speedport W 724V from Telekom. In router's networkstorage I created user

to get released network folder on the external drive of speedport. So I am able to read and write from

PC on that Folder, I can also scan to a folder of the pc, but when I try to scan on that

external drive connected via USB I'll get Network error message on printer's display

and also in testmode within printer's Setup configuration. Thanks for your help.

Regards

@Rudibert, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Check the settings.

To know how to setup scan to network folder feature, refer to page 15 of the user manual.

You may also refer to this document (applies to Officejet printer)

If the issue persists, I recommend you enable SMB on your computer. Follow the below steps to Enable SMB.

Programs and features > turn on windows feature > SMB 1.0 CIFS Server > reboot PC.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
