I understand you are trying to set up your new printer Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to the issue.
Let’s work on setting up your new HP Smart Tank 7602 printer. Here’s what to do step by step:
1. Physical Setup
- Unpack and inspect the printer for any visible damage. Remove all packing materials, tapes, and protective covers.
- Connect the power cable and turn on the printer.
- Install the ink tanks:
- Open the ink tank cover.
- Pour the provided ink into the respective color-coded tanks until full.
- Close the ink tank cover.
- Install the printheads:
- Open the printhead access door.
- Install the black and tri-color printheads as instructed.
- Allow the printer to initialize.
2. Software Setup
Download and Install the HP Smart App:
- Go to 123.hp.com or your app store to download the HP Smart app.
- Install the app on your computer or smartphone.
Connect the Printer to WiFi:
- Open the HP Smart app and sign in or create an HP account.
- Follow the app instructions to add a new printer.
- Ensure your computer or smartphone is connected to the same WiFi network.
Complete Setup:
- Load plain paper in the input tray.
- Allow the printer to print an alignment page. Scan this page if prompted for alignment.
3. Troubleshooting Setup Issues
If the setup doesn’t go smoothly:
Check WiFi Connectivity: Ensure your printer is in range of your router, and your WiFi is working.
Restart Devices: Restart your computer, printer, and router.
Factory Reset the Printer (if needed):
- Press and hold the Resume and Wireless buttons on the printer for about 10 seconds.
- Try setting it up again.
Reinstall the HP Smart App if the app doesn’t detect the printer.
