Hi @Henkatt,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be glad to help you!
To re-establish the Wi-Fi connection on your HP LaserJet MFP M234dw Printer, follow these steps:
1. Restart the Printer and Router
- Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source for about 60 seconds, and plug it back in. Turn it back on.
- Restart your Wi-Fi router by unplugging it for 30-60 seconds, then plug it back in and wait for it to fully reboot.
2. Re-connect Printer to Wi-Fi Using Control Panel
- On the printer, press the Wireless button to access the wireless settings.
- Navigate to the Wi-Fi Setup Wizard (if your printer has a display), and follow the on-screen instructions to select your network and enter your Wi-Fi password.
- If your printer doesn’t have a display, press and hold the Wireless button for 5 seconds until the Wireless light starts blinking.
- Press the WPS button on your router within 2 minutes to establish a connection.
3. Use HP Smart App
- Download the HP Smart App on your smartphone or computer.
- Open the app and add the printer. The app will walk you through the process to reestablish the wireless connection. It will automatically detect the printer and help connect it to the same Wi-Fi network as your device.
4. Reset Network Settings
- Reset the printer’s network settings to default and try connecting again:
- Press and hold the Wireless button and the Cancel button on the printer until the wireless light starts blinking (about 5 seconds).
- Once the wireless light is blinking, use the Wi-Fi Setup Wizard or HP Smart App to reconnect.
5. Check Router Settings
- Ensure that your Wi-Fi network is operating on a 2.4 GHz frequency, as many HP printers, including the M234dw, do not support 5 GHz networks.
- Verify that the router’s settings (like MAC address filtering) aren’t preventing the printer from connecting.
6. Reinstall Printer on Your Devices
- If the printer still doesn’t connect, remove it from your computer’s printer list and reinstall it:
- On Windows: Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers, remove the printer, and reinstall it using Add Printer.
- On Mac: Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners, delete the printer, and re-add it.
After following these steps, your HP LaserJet MFP M234dw should reconnect to your Wi-Fi.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
