Hi @Ian7355,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd like to help!
This printer is not compatible with your current OS Mac 14 Sonoma. Click here
Try with another OS and see if that works.
However,
Update Software: Make sure your iMac's operating system and the HP Smart software are up to date. Go to the Apple menu > System Preferences > Software Update to check for any available updates for your macOS.
Printer Connection: Ensure that your HP printer is properly connected to the same WiFi network as your iMac. You may need to check the printer's settings to confirm its network connection.
Restart Printer: Turn off your HP printer, wait for a minute, and then turn it back on. Sometimes, resetting the printer helps resolve connectivity issues.
Reset Network Settings: On your iMac, you can try resetting the network settings. Go to System Preferences > Network > select your WiFi connection > click "Advanced" > select "TCP/IP" and click "Renew DHCP Lease."
Reinstall HP Smart Software: If the issue persists, try uninstalling the HP Smart software from your iMac and reinstalling it. Sometimes, a fresh installation can resolve software-related issues.
Contact HP Support: If none of the above steps work, reaching out to HP Support might be the best option. They can provide specific troubleshooting steps or further assistance tailored to your printer model and software.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
