Hi @PrinterPain7

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP printer suddenly won’t connect to your wireless network, even after trying various troubleshooting steps, there are still a few things we can try to resolve the issue. Wireless connectivity problems can stem from various causes, including issues with the printer, the router, or the network configuration itself.

Here’s a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the issue:

Step 1: Restart Printer and Router

Sometimes, a simple restart of the printer and router can fix wireless connectivity issues.

  1. Power off the printer.
  2. Unplug the router from the power source, wait for 30 seconds, and then plug it back in. Wait for the router to fully restart and reconnect.
  3. Power the printer back on.
  4. Try reconnecting to the wireless network after both devices have rebooted.

Step 2: Ensure Printer is in Wireless Setup Mode

Check if the printer is in wireless setup mode (it may need to be reconfigured to connect to your network).

  1. On the printer's control panel, go to Settings.
  2. Look for an option that says Network Setup or Wireless Settings (this might vary based on the printer model).
  3. Select Wireless Setup Wizard (this will guide the printer through finding your network and reconnecting).
    • The printer will search for available networks.
    • Select your Wi-Fi network from the list of available networks and enter the Wi-Fi password.
  4. Follow any on-screen instructions to complete the wireless setup.

Step 3: Check for Network Issues

Make sure there are no issues with your Wi-Fi network:

  1. Check the Wi-Fi signal strength: Ensure your printer is within range of the Wi-Fi router.
  2. Verify network settings: Make sure there is no IP conflict or other network-related issue.
    • If you're using a dual-band router (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), ensure your printer is connected to the right band. Many printers only support 2.4 GHz networks.
  3. Check router security settings: Ensure that your router is not blocking the printer’s connection due to settings like MAC address filtering or firewall settings.
    • If possible, temporarily disable the firewall or MAC filtering on your router to see if the printer can connect.
  4. Reboot your router: Sometimes, restarting the router itself can help reset network connections.

Step 4: Forget and Reconnect to the Wi-Fi Network

If the printer is already connected to the Wi-Fi network but not working correctly, you might need to have the printer "forget" the network and reconnect.

  1. Go to Network Settings on the printer.
  2. Find the option to forget or delete the existing Wi-Fi network (this is typically under Wireless Settings or Network Setup).
  3. After deleting the network, select the network again and re-enter your Wi-Fi password.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
