Hi @Blackjack10,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your printer's Wi-Fi is blinking and it’s not connecting to the internet, here are some steps to troubleshoot the issue:
1. Restart Devices
- Power Cycle the Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it, and wait for about 60 seconds. Plug it back in and turn it on.
- Restart Your Router: Unplug your router for about 30 seconds, then plug it back in and wait for it to fully restart.
2. Check Wi-Fi Connection
- Make sure your printer is trying to connect to the correct Wi-Fi network.
- If you have changed your Wi-Fi password or network settings recently, you may need to reconnect the printer.
3. Reconnect the Printer to Wi-Fi
- On the printer, go to the Wireless settings.
- Use the Wireless Setup Wizard to select your Wi-Fi network and enter the password.
- If your printer has a physical Wi-Fi button, you can press it to initiate the connection process.
4. Check for IP Address
- Print a Network Configuration Page from your printer settings to check its IP address. Ensure it is obtaining a valid IP address from the router.
5. Run Network Test
- If your printer has an option for a Network Test or Connection Test, run that to see if it can identify the issue.
6. Update Firmware
- If you can access the printer settings, check for any firmware updates that may resolve connectivity issues.
7. Check Firewall and Security Settings
- Sometimes, router settings, firewalls, or security settings can block the printer. Check your router’s settings to ensure the printer isn’t being blocked.
8. Use HP Smart App
- If you have the HP Smart app installed, try using it to reconnect the printer:
- Open the app and ensure your printer is selected.
- Go to Printer Settings and check the network settings.
9. Factory Reset the Printer
- As a last resort, you can perform a factory reset on the printer. Refer to the user manual for instructions on how to do this, as it will remove all network settings and you’ll need to set it up again.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
