OJ6500A
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

OK folks need help in getting my computer and wireless printer talking again. History. HP Notebook and HP OJ6500A Printer was connected to Comcast modem all worked fine. Comcast upgraded me to new router/modem since then no print. When I ran the auto setup from the printer the IP address that showed up was 169.254.205.109. When I tried to run the setup through the notebook it came back with the IP address is an auto IP which most networks use on a temporary place holder. And stated to wait for a IP address from the router/modem . Never got one. I went into the admin section of the router/modem and retrieved the IP address.  Manually installed the IP address,  I now have the printer and Notebook on the network. But when I try to print I get an error that the printer cannot be found. Check router/modem and printer is on 2.4GHz and Notebook  on 5GHz, don't know if that matters

Thanks for any help

Hi@pyhooya2,

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are unable to connect the printer to your wireless network.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I recommend you run the HP printer and scan doctor and it will automatically find and fix connectivity issues.

Download HP Print and Scan Doctor and run the program.

Thanks for the suggestion, I have downloaded and ran it several times. Each time it says others was a port problem and fixed it. When I try to run a test page nothing get a error that the printer cannot be found. I have removed it and reloaded it several times, The device shows up on the network with an IP address of 10.0.0.251. The print does work connected by USB cable.
