Printer was connected to Wifi for over a year but all of a sudden it stopped. There is no Wifi icon or network option to select on the printer display panel. I reset back to the factory settings and unplugged it from the power source  but still can not get this function back.

Officejet 8015e. I read through all of another one for the same device and just like them none of the suggestions would work

Hi @Dumbprinterissu,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

When an HP OfficeJet 8015e loses its wireless functionality unexpectedly, and there is no network option available on the printer's display, various troubleshooting steps can be taken to resolve the issue:

Check the Wireless Setup:

  • Ensure that the wireless feature is turned on. Sometimes, the settings can be inadvertently changed.

Firmware Update:

WiFi Button:

  • If available, press the wireless button or wireless settings on the printer to check if you can see network options or the wireless icon reappears.

HP App:

Embedded Web Server (EWS):

  • Access the printer's Embedded Web Server, if possible, through a direct-connect option (such as USB) to manually configure network settings.

Manual Network Reset:

  • Perform another network reset. Reset the network settings to default:
    • On the printer control panel, navigate to Setup > Network Setup or Wireless Setup.
    • Select “Restore Network Defaults” and follow the prompts.

WiFi Protected Setup (WPS):

  • Utilize WPS to try to reconnect if your router supports it. This can often restore a lost connection without requiring manual entry of network details.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
