Hi @gazpara,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Thank you for reaching out. I understand how frustrating it is when your HP DeskJet 4300 continually shows "Not Connected." I'll be happy to help.

To better understand the issue, could you please let me know:

  • Are you seeing "Not Connected" on the printer display, in the HP app, or on your computer?
  • Is the printer connected via Wi-Fi or USB?
  • Did this issue start after changing your Wi-Fi router, network name, or password?
  • What device are you printing from (Windows, Mac, Android, or iPhone)?

In the meantime, please try these steps:

  1. Restart both the printer and your computer or mobile device.
  2. If you're using Wi-Fi, make sure the printer is connected to the same wireless network as your device.
  3. Open the HP app and check whether the printer appears as Online. If it shows Offline or Not Connected, remove the printer from the HP app and add it again.
  4. If the printer's Wi-Fi light is blinking or off, it may have lost its network connection. Reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi using the HP app and then try printing again.

If the issue continues, please share:

  • The operating system you're using (Windows 10, Windows 11, macOS, Android, or iPhone).
  • A photo or screenshot showing the "Not Connected" message.

With those details, I'll be able to guide you with the next appropriate troubleshooting steps.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!

I'm an HP Employee.
