It sounds like AirPrint isn’t working properly, even though your HP printer and iPhone are on the same Wi-Fi network. Here are some steps to fix this:

1. Check Printer AirPrint Support

  • Make sure your printer supports AirPrint (most HP models do).
  • If unsure, confirm in the printer’s manual or HP support page.

 

2. Restart Devices

  • Restart your printer, Wi-Fi router, and iPhone.
  • This clears network glitches that often block AirPrint.

 

3. Verify Network

  • Ensure both devices are on the same Wi-Fi band (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz).
  • Avoid using guest networks or VPN on your iPhone.

 

4. Check Printer Settings

  • On the printer, confirm Wireless is ON and the blue light is steady.
  • Print a Network Configuration Page to confirm the connection.

 

5. Update Firmware & iOS

  • Update your printer firmware via the HP app.
  • Update your iPhone to the latest iOS version: Official HP® Support.

 

6. Reset Network Settings (if needed)

  • On the printer: Restore Network Defaults (usually under Wireless Settings).
  • Reconnect to Wi-Fi and retry AirPrint.

 

7. Use HP App
