Printer HP DeskJet 2730e. Set up and working, Instant Ink set up BUT info says the printer is connected to my wireless network, but is not connected to the Internet. I think it needs to be connected so that inkmcan be sent when needed, but I don't really understand what the message means, and how I vonnect to the Internet as opposed to my wireless network - what's the difference? Please explain in simple terms - I'm 72 and a technophobe!

Hi @ZMS
Welcome to the HP support community.
I understand that your printer is not connecting to the wireless network. I'd like to help!
To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:
Are you connecting the printer to a 2.4Ghz network or 5Ghz network?
Is it a private (Home network) or a public Wi-Fi connection? Wi-Fi direct? Or Hotspot?
What device are you using the printer with a Windows computer, Mac, Android, or iPhone?
How is the printer connected to USB or Wireless?
What is the status of the wireless light on the printer, steady or blinking?
Also, try to disable and enable the web services. Please go through the document here
Hope this helps. Keep me posted.

Thank you. The problem was that I WAS connected to my wireless network, but had a message saying I was NOT connected to the internet. So I was able to print, but was worried that my ink levels were not being monitored. This morning I tried the helpline again, and got a more helpful person than on my last attempt. It seems that the printer IS connected to the internet after all, and it is normal for the info button to be lit, as long as the light is not flashing. So, many thanks for your help, but now not needed.
