Hi @Dmmidd,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're experiencing difficulty connecting your HP Deskjet 3050A printer to Wi-Fi after changing the ink cartridges, try the following steps to troubleshoot the issue.

Check Wi-Fi Settings:

  • Ensure that your Wi-Fi network is functioning properly and that the SSID and password are correctly entered into the printer. Check other devices to confirm that they can connect to the Wi-Fi network without issues.

Restart Printer and Router:

  • Turn off your HP Deskjet 3050A printer and unplug it from the power source. Additionally, restart your Wi-Fi router by unplugging it from the power source for about 30 seconds and then plugging it back in. Wait for the router to fully restart, then turn on the printer again and try connecting to Wi-Fi.

Reconfigure Wi-Fi Connection:

  • Use the printer's control panel menu to navigate to the Wi-Fi setup or network settings. Follow the on-screen instructions to reconfigure the Wi-Fi connection. You may need to enter your Wi-Fi network's SSID and password during this process.

Check Wireless Signal Strength:

  • Ensure that the printer is within range of your Wi-Fi router and that there are no obstructions blocking the wireless signal. Move the printer closer to the router if necessary to improve signal strength.

Reset Network Settings:

  • If you continue to encounter issues, try resetting the printer's network settings to default. Refer to your printer's user manual or HP's support website for instructions on how to perform a network reset.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Check if there are any firmware updates available for your HP Deskjet 3050A printer. Updating the printer's firmware may resolve compatibility issues and improve connectivity. You can usually check for firmware updates through the printer's settings menu or HP's support website.

Use HP Smart App (Optional):

  • Consider using the HP Smart app to set up and manage your printer wirelessly. Download the HP Smart app from the app store on your smartphone or tablet and follow the on-screen instructions to connect your printer to Wi-Fi.

By following these steps, you should be able to troubleshoot and resolve the issue with connecting your HP Deskjet 3050A printer to Wi-Fi after changing the ink cartridges.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
