Hi @paccoats,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

A blue screen with an error code like "B82F6254" on an HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 typically indicates a hardware or firmware problem. Here are some steps you can try to resolve this issue.

  • Power Cycle: First, try turning off the printer and unplugging it from the power source. Wait for about 30 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on. This can sometimes clear temporary issues.
  • Firmware Update: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your HP OfficeJet Pro 7740. Sometimes, updating the firmware can resolve issues like this. You can usually check for updates through the printer's control panel or the HP website.
  • Check for Physical Damage: Inspect the printer for any physical damage, loose connections, or obstructions. Make sure all cables are properly connected.
  • Factory Reset: If the problem persists, you might need to perform a factory reset on the printer. Keep in mind that this will erase any custom settings, so you may want to back up important settings first if possible. The steps to perform a factory reset can vary depending on the printer model, so consult the user manual or HP's support website for specific instructions.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Hi Paccoats,

I got a solution to this on a 7740 from sandytechy20 by doing a partial reset on a 7740.

For some reason it was sent to me as "private" which I can't forward so you should ask him yourself.

Regards,
