Common problems for Connectivity Issues
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.

Office jet 5740
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

My printer has stopped printing from my network. It shows offline but according to printer it is connected to network via wifi. Router enquiry confirms this. Tried Print Doctor but cannot see printer so is no help. I can print direct from my phone or iPad but not from any Windows 10 laptops on the network. Was working fine for years until yesterday. Nothing has changed with my network.

I have fixed the issue by hardwiring the printer to the router using an ethernet cable. Networked PCs can print again.

Wifi link between printer and router appears to be broken.  I tried a wifi direct solution with code and while it allowed installation it was not possible to print a document - error message "printer not ready".

Strange but I will continue with the hard wired solution.
