I have an HP OfficeJet 250 Mobile All-in-One printer which I purchased from Best Buy in August 2024.  It has worked perfectly up until today.  We tried to print a document from our phone (a pdf file / one page) and the printer doesn't respond at all.  It is correctly connected to the same wireless internet as our phone.  I have unplugged the printer charge cord from the back of the printer as well as from the wall.  I have also completely removed the battery and reinstalled battery......still hasn't worked.  What now?

Hi @CindyLooHoo1

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

It sounds like your HP OfficeJet 250 Mobile All-in-One printer is being uncooperative despite your thorough troubleshooting efforts. Let’s try a few additional steps to get it back on track:

Step 1: Reset the Printer

  1. Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  2. Remove the battery again and wait for at least 2 minutes.
  3. Reinsert the battery, plug the printer back in, and turn it on.
  4. Check if the printer responds.

Step 2: Reconnect to Wi-Fi

  1. Reset the printer’s network settings:
    • Press and hold the Wireless button and the Cancel button simultaneously for about 5 seconds.
    • The wireless light should start blinking, indicating the reset is complete.
  2. Use the HP Smart App to reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.
  3. Ensure your phone is on the same Wi-Fi network as the printer.

Step 3: Test with a USB Connection

  1. Connect the printer to your computer using a USB cable.
  2. Try printing the same PDF file to see if the issue is related to the wireless connection.

Step 4: Update Firmware

  1. Visit the HP Printer Firmware page.
  2. Download and install the latest firmware update for the HP OfficeJet 250 Mobile printer.
  3. Restart the printer after the update.

Step 5: Check for Mobile Printing Issues

  1. Ensure your phone has the latest version of the HP Smart App installed.
  2. Try printing a different file type (e.g., a Word document or image) to rule out issues with the PDF file.
  3. If the issue persists, restart your phone and try again.

Step 6: Inspect Printer Hardware

  1. Open the printer’s access door and check for any obstructions or debris inside.
  2. Ensure the ink cartridges are properly installed and have sufficient ink.
