Hi @Glynn5,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding printer being offline!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If your HP OfficeJet 4650 is offline on your PC but still prints from your Android phone, follow these steps to fix the issue:

1. Restart Everything

  • Turn off your printer, PC, and router.
  • Unplug the printer from power and wait 60 seconds.
  • Turn everything back on and check if the issue is resolved.

2. Check Printer Status in Windows

  1. Go to Settings → Devices → Printers & Scanners.
  2. Click on HP OfficeJet 4650 and select Manage.
  3. Click Set as default printer (if not already).
  4. Click Open print queue and ensure "Use Printer Offline" is unchecked.

3. Run Windows Printer Troubleshooter

  1. Press Windows + I → Go to Settings → Update & Security → Troubleshoot.
  2. Select Printer and click Run the Troubleshooter.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions.

4. Reconnect Printer to WiFi

If your PC is on a different network, reconnect the printer:

  1. On the printer’s touchscreen, go to Setup → Network Setup → Wireless Settings.
  2. Select Wireless Setup Wizard and reconnect to your WiFi.

5. Check Firewall & Antivirus

  • Sometimes Windows Defender Firewall or antivirus software blocks printer communication.
  • Temporarily disable the firewall and check if the printer works.

6. Reinstall Printer Drivers

  1. Uninstall HP printer software from Control Panel → Programs & Features.
  2. Download and install the latest drivers from HP’s official website.

7. Try a Different Connection (USB or Ethernet)

  • If WiFi isn’t working, try connecting via USB or Ethernet and check if the PC detects the printer.

After these steps, your printer should be online. Let me know if you need further help! 😊
