How do I reset my OfficeJet Pro 8035e. I can't find the username and password that I had set for Control Panel Lock. I have an HP Instant Ink account related to that printer. I need to change WiFi settings as I just moved to a new location.

Hi @FBeauch,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you have forgotten the username and password for the Control Panel Lock on your HP OfficeJet Pro 8035e and need to reset it, you can perform a factory reset to regain access. Here are the steps to reset your printer:

Turn off the printer: Make sure your printer is powered off.

Disconnect the power cord: Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer and wait for at least 60 seconds.

Reconnect the power cord: Plug the power cord back into the printer and turn it on.

Access the Support Menu:

  • Press and hold the Back button (the arrow button) on the printer control panel.
  • While holding the Back button, tap the Home button five times.
  • Release the Back button. This should bring up the Support Menu.

Navigate to Reset Menu:

  • Using the arrow keys, navigate to the 'Reset Menu' or 'Support Menu' options.
  • Select 'Semi-Full Reset'. This will reset your printer to its factory default settings.

Follow on-screen instructions: The printer will restart and walk you through the initial setup process.

After the reset, the Control Panel Lock will be removed, and you can set up your printer as if it were new. You'll need to reconnect it to your Wi-Fi network and reconfigure any other settings as needed.

Since you have an HP Instant Ink account related to your printer, you should log in to your HP Instant Ink account after the reset to ensure that your subscription continues without interruption.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
