9010 series stopped being able to print from WiFi. Turns out, printer lost ability to find or setup wifi. Did factory reset, settings reset, partial reset, uninstall and re-install printer and HP Smart. Now, HP Smart says cannot finish printer setup because the printer can't find WiFi network (which is why I started resetting everything), and without finishing the setup, I can't even print via ethernet cable...

Hi @patrick253,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Check Network and Router:
- Ensure your router is operating correctly and broadcasting the network SSID (network name).
- Check the router settings to ensure the 2.4 GHz band is enabled (some HP printers do not support the 5.0 GHz band).
WiFi Signal Strength:
- Move the printer closer to the router to ensure it is within a strong signal range.
Network Connection:
- Ensure other devices are able to connect to the WiFi network to rule out issues with the network itself.
Printer Setup:
Restore WiFi Setup Mode:
Printers With Touchscreen Control Panel:
- On the control panel, select the Wireless
or Setup
menu.
- Select Network Setup or Settings, then select Restore Network Settings.
Printers Without Touchscreen Control Panel:
- Press and hold the Wireless button for five seconds until the wireless light starts to flash. This resets the wireless settings.
Manual Connection Using Wireless Setup Wizard (Touchscreen Models Only):
- Open the Setup or Network menu from the printer's control panel.
- Select Wireless Setup Wizard.
- Follow prompts to select your WiFi network and enter the password.
Using HP Smart App for Setup:
Bluetooth Capability:
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on the device where HP Smart is installed.
Location Services:
- Enable location services on mobile devices and allow HP Smart to access location information.
HP Smart Setup:
- Open the HP Smart app.
- Click Set Up a New Printer or Add Printer and follow the prompts.
- If prompted, enable Bluetooth and ensure WiFi setup mode is active.
I hope this helps.

Thank you for your fast reply. I had found this suggestion elsewhere in the HP community, as well.
Unfortunately, none of these possible solutions worked. I did all those things and the printer never displayed a WiFi setup option anywhere, not on the printer, not in HP Smart.
Without being able to setup the WiFi, I couldn't complete printer setup and print from an ethernet cable, either.
I bought a Canon printer yesterday.
